cannot change wallpaper

this is a very small problem. I cannot change the wallpaper for my desktop, i have tried every option in windows. I am just trying to use the default windows pictures. When you go to change the wallpaper it looks like its going to work but it doesn't change. I made sure the all hardware is using a current vista beta 3 drivers. That is the only problem that im having which is very small, its just bugging me that I cannot find a answer to this problem. If anyone has any solutions I would appreciate it thanks

I cannot change the wallpaper for the desktop. It looks like it is going to make the changes but when you look at the desktop there is no change just the default solid color.
